A very odd move and just shows how the market has changed, as it was the best selling car for many years. The Focus class of cars (medium sized hatchbacks) have started disappearing across the board, following the move to SUV’s, but I thought that the supermini class, such as the Fiesta, still had legs. Obviously the Puma has been a roaring success and I guess that’s business coming from former Fiesta owners, but younger drivers tend to prefer hatchbacks over crossovers, so Ford are in danger of alienating a large group of customers.

Worth remembering that it’s only the Puma name that has been resurrected, not the car. The current Puma is a small four door crossover, whereas the original Puma was a little two door coupe. Very different cars.
