Any sensible party would quietly anoint Rishi Sunak and get on with re-establishing some degree of credibility but the Tories aren’t a sensible party. In fact calling them a party isn’t really accurate they are two parties under the one banner. No matter who they elect the new PM will have the unenviable job of riding two horses with the one bum ?
