Wow, even in the best of times I’ve never seen such a fast delivery of a car.
With regards to the AP payment 24 hours before collection although I don’t think its normal but it is indeed what I had to do 4 years ago when I collected my current car. I paid with my standard bank card with customer present the day befor collect but the dealer is only a few miles away from me so no big problem.
Just for piece of mind though I would just have a quick check with Motability if they think everything is cosha as that quick delivery time sounds a bit suspect because my current car was off the shelf as it were and still took two week to deliver.
