Factoring in the effect of “tired” batteries on older EV prices is a hard one to predict also.
Now that is more of an unkown and a concern for now. Especially given its a fair new concept mainstream. Hesitant 2nd hand buyer’s, fear how the battery has been charged by the previous owner and the relitively short warranty left if you purchased one 5yrs old. Added to that the fear factor of having to replace the battery, with a potentially huge outlay. No doubt as time goes on and EV’s have swamped the market and more and more used models will be in the market, the concern will becom less, but not totally as is the case buying any used car. I certainly won’t be a gunea pig with an EV.
