    I would certainly hope that those who aren’t interested or able to have an EV yet aren’t subsiding those who are or can, but I suspect that they are. IMO, costs of EV’s should reflect the true leasing cost and then people can decide if the savings that they make in petrol or diesel (less charging costs) is worth the additional AP. For the same reason, I’ve never been comfortable with government grants / subsidies on EV’s. Eventually, the government will have to acknowledge that the 2030 deadline is unrealistic and that the charging infrastructure, technology (battery life & charging time) and range limitations of EV’s won’t all be fully addressed by then and until they are, it is impractical to force everybody down that route.
