Motability are an easy way for companies to make money for managers who know what ropes to pull.
They can’t g get away with it should you be a private customer that knows just a tiny bit about cars.
Reminds me of a time pre-disabled days when my Ford Cortina had a knocking sound from the suspension and was told by a work colleague who was converse with Cortinas that it was the roll bar bushes needing replacement as it was a well know fault on that model and he made a point of saying not to believe anything anyone tells me different.
So the next day I’m passing KF and popped in to see what they thought, I told them the symptoms and straight away he say your shock absorbers have gone, front and back and will cost £400 plus(20 years ago) I gave it a miss and bought the £6 new bushes for the roll bar and put them in and nothing more heard from the suspension.
The shame is as MB customers are never asked if we see anything unforetold going on and if we do were wasting our breath telling MB anyway.
