I agree Glos Guy, I never begrudge pension increases, as we will all (well, most of us) be the recipients of it in due course. Pensioners can struggle to make ends meet, increases are always a year behind the inflationary curve and in many cases they do not have secondary workplace or private pension scheme payments (arguably their own fault – but it’s hard to put away money you don’t have).
In life, it's not who you know that's important, it's how your wife found out.
