    Hi Everyone

Its been very interesting reading all your posts, Not been on for a while, to busy been out in my Kona.
Sorry to hear a gentleman having his Kona stolen, why can’t people leave things alone that don’t belong to them. ???

The weather is getting cooler, the range is slowly dropping for me, two week ago it had dropped from 387 to 362, yesterday’s charge was 346, so yes, it’s dropping with the weather.
My understanding, ( from the dealer) that all eclectic works off the 12 volt batter, it’s only when you press (heat button) does the range drop. Even air con without heat won’t affect the range. So heated seats, heated steering wheel, ventilated seats, phone charger, radio are all off 12v battery. That said, I guess we won’t be using all these at the same time. I’m also told that 12v battery is charged whilst driving as and when it’s needed. But yes, the light on front is telling you that it’s charging.

I’m also following another forum, for Kona EV owners, there are a few that have said that the car won’t start, due to a flat 12v battery. More so now that the weather is cooler. So please be aware that this could happen, although I’ve had no issues nor have my dealer have had any reports of this issue.

With the new energy price cap, my energy costs from the end of October will move to the  capped rate, so my price from around 25% battery that cost me £7 to charge to 100% will now cost for the same charge £12.45, Will I change back to an ICE, not a chance.
Stay safe everyone and enjoy your Kona EV’s ????
