Short answer should be ok – but maybe ask your current / next dealer what they think ??
I had a slight accident and dented the rear tailgate and bumper – put a claim into RSA. With full details, photos and video. And after a follow up discussion. They advised they it didn’t warrant fixing and closed the claim.
obviously motability operations (MO) has a set online proforma that dealers complete when you return your car – which then goes straight to MO – so in the end it’s the dealers judgement.
I’ve advised the dealer I’ve ordered my new car with & provided him with all the details too but nothing he can do or say until I return it physically and he sees it in the metal etc…. The dealership is miles away so can’t just pop for him to see.
In an email this week MO reiterated that although RSA didn’t feel a claim / repair was necessary, it still has to pass the inspection by the dealer who completes the report for the GCB
I’m hopeful but it’s still a risk
I get a family member to lend me the money for my AP (alway £1k limit on AP – made I’d of my saving £10 a month, the GCB and for this year the extra £250 for new car orders – then I pay my relative back – as thise amounts come in after new car pick up)
