I’ve removed the hoist from my Motability car, it’s an easy thing to do.
The hoist was fixed to one of the seat belt anchorages, the original seat belt was tied up and never used as seats 6 and 7 could not be used while the hoist was in place. Undone the bolts holding the hoist and bolted the seat belt back on it’s original mountings.
I’ve left the cable that fed power to the hoist as its out of sight under the floor.
It’s a Motability car so I don’t have the problem of selling it on but there is a hole cut in the floor of the car that at a guess would cost a couple of hundred quid to fix had I had to sell it and although its not unsightly or a problem I’m sure a buyer of the car looking at it would want more than a couple of hundred knocked of the price simply because it gives them a bargaining point to lower the asking price.
