Thanks for everyones input , yes am collecting a new car ( off scheme) from dealership.
My plan is to get the certificate beforehand , and take it with me to ( MB car handback and new car from same dealer) dealership on day of handback of MB car and pick up my own new car.
My thinking is , at this point (MB car handed back) I don’t have the tax exemption on any car.
Then complete handover of new car, with the dealer applying tax exemption to new car .
Does this sound doable?
