There was a magnificent hour long storm here last night just after midnight. The bright gold and white forks of lightning were better than any firework display. I got out of bed and sat in my comfy chair with a blanket to watch the whole production. It should have been accompanied by Wagner!
Another amazing thunder storm started about 30 minutes ago and the noise is truly deafening. The rain and thunder and lightning is like something from Apocalypse Now. My son has just put rain collection containers on the roof terrace to avoid the gutters overflowing.A drought followed by a deluge shows the vagaries of nature,
