Hi fwippers – I will give you all an honest assessment, maybe after a month – depending on weather that should give a reasonable range of temperature moisture driving speeds etc. In terms of fitting – if you were contemplating buying and applying – then I would suggest sooner rather than later – the instructions tell you to clean area thoroughly using water then two lots of alcohol wipes before applying – they then suggest car is not used for 12 hours – then you can use upto 60 mph over the next 48 before normal use. They state clearly that there should be no moisture for 48 hours after fitting. I checked forecast – no rain predicated – but this is UK – managed 36 hours before sprinkles – the optimum temperature is 20c. In conclusion – lay everything out – take your time – ensure you have matched the fitting upto the car before peeling off tape and applying. The hardest thing to control is temperature – it is easy enough to jam some plastic in the doors to keep them dry – or over the top of the car. I think the over the top instructions are as much to appease the legal team as the customer – temperature tho as with most adhesives is important. I hope this isn’t to much information and puts you off – would I recommend it to a reasonable confident diy-er YES. But only time will tell as to their durability – but so far I am happy.
