The e-C4 does do well in the long range test done by Bjorn Nyland, one of the fastest over the 1000km distance due to its fast charge curve – that’s provided you are not stuck waiting to charge. Looking at current options it would be that for me and likewise it’s a little short on range – especially in winter. 45kw useable is no problem for local needs though. The Kona 64 is best bang for buck – but it has to fit your needs and its boot space is woeful – worse than the Soul despite allegedly measuring larger as the sloped rear limits space. I still have a way to go though, just under 2 years, so who knows what the list will look like by then or how silly the AP’s. You might have your VW by then too! lol.
Spot on with the Kona, I have it and the boot suffices for me, but hopefully they will enlarge the boot and rear passenger space. Also an interesting video on the ID.3 Tour, a test in Sweden achieved a real life range of only 312 miles, less than the 336 miles WLTP and on a mild day at 50mph.
