I came close to ordering a Tour last year, when the prices tumbled before going silly. But I decided to take the Soul both because the interior looked way, way better and the dealer guaranteed delivery on my handover. Even then, back in March 21 there were rumblings about long waits with some makes (VW being one).
Kia dealer had my car on-site less than 4 weeks after I placed the order. Now they too are “join the queue” well, except for the Soul, which has vanished.
So many cars are not available – Ford for example won’t let you order a Fiesta or Focus, private or lease…no production at all. Given they are going to release a somewhere between them sized electric (built by VW…) in Europe next year, I wonder if they will just never return.
