I don’t often disagree with you fwippers and I understand your desire for Hyundai to upgrade the materials in the car interior – but I think we need to remember where the car is placed amongst its competition – I suspect they are already close to the margins – Motability is I think an exceptional deal – but if we think of the Kona EV to the normal punter it still gives good honest range exceptional safety tech to all its specs – a sensibly laid out interior in terms of ease of use to the driver – many EV’s with – in my opinion over use of iPad like interface may look flash but are a huge distraction to the driver – old fashioned but proven switch gear is far easier to see comprehend and action with less distraction whilst driving – they can put as many warnings of not to be used whilst driving – but honestly how many of us really take any notice – in a world where driving with one hand and texting or loud speaker phone conversations from your lap are quite rightly illegal – it seems odd to push iPad style interfaces – the real reason I suspect is cost – so in summary I can live with interior materials that are not top notch if that is the trade of for sensible Safe useful easy to operate tech.
