Hello all, My update! I’ve picked up the car yesterday; minor snafu was they forgot to tick light leather seats so I got the black ones. Not a huge deal and the dealer was very apologetic and gave me some free mats! Drove home in ‘normal’ the 25 miles, just trying to get used to things. Only got 4.1m/KwH so was a little disappointed. Plugged her in at tesco and went for a coffee next door at costa while reading my book, an hour later she was at 100% and ready to go home. Charging is a bit of a pain, the type2 cable is quite heavy and you need to organise it; it could be an issue for some people traveling alone, but I just about managed it. Was happy with the interior quality. I wish they had some soft stuff where the windowsills are but other than that it’s better than I remember too. They seem to have added a little bit of squidgy stuff in places. (armrest, centre console) Cabin seems airy enough with the sunroof but I’m going to add some ambient lighting as it’s cheap and easy to do at around £25. Will make the cabin look far nicer at night. Today I went over the penines to York, just over 150 miles in total. My battery reads 54% remaining. A few hours at tesco will sort that out! (just under 3 hours will take me to 100% on the freebies) Got better MP/KWH, over 4.5 in total today. The tech is absolutely fantastic. The smart cruise control and lane assist makes driving a breeze and is implemented perfectly. (And I worked it out by the time I got home yesterday) – Also the hud is very useful, barely had to look down on my dash. It even shows the blind spot detection. Reversing camera and sensors are good and useful, nothing really to report here. I had the same problem as another person here (tillyman maybe?) My phone got REALLY hot (samsung s10) using Android auto plugged in. At the end of my trip it actually shut down the carplay app to deheat itself. I’ve read around a bit and the solution seems to be a carlinkit kit and using the wireless charging (the wireless charger has a fan under it, but it isn’t enabled when the cable is plugged in) – May have to look into that. Played music from my phone using android auto too, worked fine with both Spotify and MP3’s. Cooled seats are really cool, seats extremely comfortable, leg room for the driver fine. Auto lights and wipers work fine. All in all it’s a great car I think, very pleased with it. Wish it was a tiny bit ‘softer’ on the interior and a little bigger (20cm longer wouldn’t have hurt for some extra boot space). But that’s nitpicking. Questions?

I think I am in total agreement.  For an ultimate trim Hyundai could have spent a few extra quid, literally on some soft touch, but I think the older models had all hard plastic on the doors, the newer model is a definite improvement.  We particularly like the floating shelf between driver and passenger whi h really defines the spaces well. Just over 150 miles with 54% remaining is good going.
