For the base model AriyaAP I could get a host of other similar size Scheme cars and pay for all of the fuel during the 3 years even at the current silly fuel prices, crazy AP indeed.
Don’t forget that electricity is forecast to go through the roof this October so charging cost will triple.
AP on Ariya = £7,299. I average 3.3kw/mile (over whole year) in the Soul, driving like Miss Daisy, so can’t see the Ariya doing much better. If the rate goes to 40p a unit thats £3,636 in electricity costs over 3 years. So the total cost over 3 years would be £10,935.
Ap on say, the Kuga FHEV Vignale= £3,995 (Not the cheapest on the scheme!), Petrol at 48mpg at £1.88/litre for the FHEV would be £5,435. Total cost over 3 years £9,430
Other similar sized cars like the C5 Aircross diesel or 3008 also come out less overall including fuel.
