As a Tucson driver of over 3 years, economy is an issue. I was aware it was one of the thirstier cars in its class. Over 20k miles I have averaged around 33mpg, according to the on board computer and most of my driving is on country roads with little traffic. 3 years ago with lower fuel prices it was much less of an issue. In fairness the car has many fine attributes. Its interesting that in terms of fuel economy Hyundai/Kia have always been a little behind the curve whereas they are ahead of the competition in the electric sector.
My average mileage over 26oo miles 3.5 months is 33mpg nearly 10miles lower than quoted or expected.
