Found this wonderful thread as I was searching for ‘real life’ experiences around the ordering/waiting of the beautiful Kona EV. Thrilled to find others that have ordered either the Premium or Ultimate in the Misty/Jungle Green with the Light interior, such good taste, I’m obviously onto a winner here! I have read all 34 pages a couple of times and am so disappointed that the expected deliveries of your Kona’s didn’t materialize in March/April. My fingers are permanently crossed that the long wait for you guys is coming to an end. A massive thank you to the thread opener, CAPUCIN, your thread has enabled me to forget about my wait time and concentrate on the imminent arrivals due to participants in this forum. Ian Websell is a diamond, his updates are so informative and priceless, thank you.
Welcome to the forum. Yes this thread contains a wealth of valuable information as indeed does the forum. I also need to download Hyundai Bluelink. If it works in a similar fashion to the BMW system, it will be packed with useful features, especially the ability to find the cars position and being able to set the sat nav from the app in advance. The misty green colour with a light interior is an excellent combination, I have been a little more conservative with a grey exterior and black leather. My only gripe with Hyundai and many other manufacturers is they continue to use real leather. Like others I hope to take delivery by the month end, hopefully in a fortnight.</p>
Thanks for the welcome fwippers. I have had a look at the Blue Link app, very impressed. Remotely planning your route and sending it to the navigation system is something that appeals. You’ll have to let us know how you get on with it. Totally agree with you on the leather gripe, no need when there is a wealth of materials that would be more than a good substitute. I shall be giving feedback on that particular aspect of the Kona Ultimate when I take delivery. It must feel brilliant to know that your Kona is safely in the UK and you’ll be driving it out of your dealership very soon.
