Welcome Morecat1 Sounds like you have placed the same order as me – ultimate – misty jungle and the light interior – I have my VIN and am hoping to have my car by the end of this month – I also found Ian’s insights very useful and will hope to add my experiences of the car that I think will of be of interest or use. I ordered car late October so like many others it has been a long wait with many false dawns and sleuthing via shipping apps. Yes I think I have morphed into that sleuthing geek

Thanks for the welcome Tillyman. Yes I have ordered the same Kona as yourself. The Ultimate/Misty Jungle/Light Interior. From the outset my dealer, Hyundai Marshalls at Gatwick, reiterated that the lead time for the Ultimate would be longer than the other Konas. I knew this to be the case but as I had spent a couple of months ensuring I was making the right choice of car for my needs, I went ahead and ordered. December 2022 was the date given with a proviso that it was possible it could be extended. The dealer contacted me this week and indeed the expected delivery is now end of January. I submitted my order in mid April so at the moment it stands at a 9 month wait. I also received the Production Order, my Kona is expected to be ready for shipping on my birthday and in the UK by 3rd of January with an expected pick up from Gatwick on 29th January. We are mid way through July so your Kona is going to be with you very soon, the excitement must really be building for you.
