Just looked on Amazon there is such a thing as a flash drive that fits both usb and lightning iPhone – not sure if updated software can be downloaded to iPhone or indeed if it will be in the correct format for car to read it – but if it can I would expect similar for non iPhone, maybe just get a mate to download it from laptop on to usb stick for you.
