All went well today, there is hope for you guys. 12 week wait.
@Gliders, the auto box is not sluggish imo, it is far superior to auto in the 1.5 awd kuga. It’s got a fair bit of poke for a small diesel, I would say on par if not slightly faster out the junctions than the kuga. The one thing I did find odd is the driving mode dial. Doesn’t seem to do very much, eco seems just as nippy but less noisy than sport. I’ve used it at 20 – 70 mph and it is comfortable, less bouncy than the kuga with 18″ wheels. The dash and controls take a bit of getting used to, trying to find a volume button is different and the speed limiter works in a less intuitive way to ford’s but that’s probably because I’ve had 6.5 years of kugas and 3 of a Focus. It only has two things missing that I can find, the heated windscreen and the capless fuel tank.
After a few hours, I would advise people not to hesitate to order. Even if you order and then test drive.
