On current costs and based on our current mileage, around 55000 miles over three years we’ll save around £10000.
This saving is due to having a home charger and currently having cheap overnight charging and free charging the days I’m in work, if I was using our local charger at 50p ish per kWh the saving would be around £3000.
I bet in years to come well all look back and say how cheap it was to drive a petrol and diesel car, electric is only going one way in cost and at some point the government is going to introduce some tax per mile.
