I’ve used their chargers on the motorway. Cost almost £20 to put less than 80% charge into my MG5.

One can only imagine @Elliot they won’t be the cheapest, just like forecourt prices for fossil fuels. how are you finding the MG5. we looked at one but wanted something with a higher ride height , wished they did the HS as an EV as the ZS EV was a little small for us.

It’s a lot of car for the money, is very quick but not really practical for work as I do a lot of long journeys. I average around 180 miles on a full charge but I’m sure that will increase during better weather. Personally, I wouldn’t want to own one as my main car but an EV suits me as a company one due to the saving I make on company car tax. It did have a massive problem from new, in that it wouldn’t charge. Took the MG dealer 8 weeks to sort it out. Last week I had to go down South in it and set the cruise control to 75 mph. It ate into the range, and I only got 140 miles out of it and that was on the economy setting.

Unfortunately for me, the negatives outweigh the positives. It has things such as adaptive cruise control and a rear view camera as standard but the sat nav is poor. For a fairly large car it needs front parking distance sensors but they are not available. Every now and again the dashboard lights up like Blackpool Illuminations and a lot of functions are disabled then come back on again 20 mins later. It has auto hold but every now and again decides to switch itself off. The headlights are about as much use as candles but if you only drive on well lit roads this wouldn’t be a problem. It’s comfortable enough but the seats have no heating, however the heating is instant rather than having to wait for an engine to warm up.

Would I have another one? Not a chance as a company car and I’m already looking to replace it with something more practical, but if I was in a position that I had only £25k to spend on a brand new car of my own then I would seriously consider it.
