    Thanks for replies.

    The system does not seem very customer friendly and I can see how it must be irritating for dealers too.  They will feel obliged to appear to know what is going on, but often I suspect they are as much in the dark as us. I often visit family during May thru to October – they are scattered around a bit so will visit for a week at a time – just makes things more difficult to plan when you don’t have a date.

    So what you were saying Chris seems useful, but I suspect not in time for us.

    How and when should you get a VIN number – my dealer has never mentioned it.
