Bear in mind the very high first year tax on many new cars..
That’s a thing that has crossed my mind as I know were exempt from normal road tax but the question I ask is, are the disabled or Motability customers exempt from the VED surcharge that’s currently £335 on new cars retailing above £40,000 on the day of registration on top of the free road tax we get as if I remember when they talked about this tax a few years ago that only WAV’s were exempt and I think that normal cars with no adaptions would be subjected to the tax that is paid at a higher rate for 5 years if I’m correct.
Of course most none WAV cars on Motability cost less than £40,000 but some are and its not the price that Motability agrees with the suppliers but the retail price set by the manufacture regardless of any deals anyone does.
