Yeah, why would you pay that kind of money for objectively one of the best brands (and cars) currently available out there. Right after Porsche on second place, consistently ahead of BMW in all measures, as stated by every major car magazine.
That propeller badge of course is more important than vastly better equipment levels, reliability, value etc, while being close to, or on par with premium manufacturers in terms of build quality.
We can argue the looks of the car, that’s down to taste. If one’s not keen on the design, that’s okay – it’s a bit polarising especially compared to the considerably more “mute” older Sportage.
There’s no arguing the car itself, nor the brand for that matter. It’s not 1990 anymore. If you “don’t want to pay 14k on a Kia”, that’s because you’re a brand snob.
