    I purchased a Viridian Classic 2.0 (from Viridian) for £300 and had it fitted by our electrician for £250. That included 2x25m runs of 6mm cable in our loft/down to basement/through a 1m thick stone wall. So it was a very non-standard installation & it took him about 5 hours to do.

    2 cables so that we could add another unit later if we wished without all the expense – we currently have the second cable wired up as an outside socket.

    Its a dumb charge point, but I’m happy with that, less to go wrong and no connectivity issues to deal with. Brand new design from Viridian so has all the latest tech in it to meet current regs.

    In life, it's not who you know that's important, it's how your wife found out.
