Whether or not it gets to the scheme, we wanted to look at it today and drove to Kia after our weekly shop. The guy basically forced us to take a testdrive with the 230hp FHEV (not the plugin one) in GT-Line S trim.
It’s gonna be a lovely motor for many people – sadly, not for us, my wifes hips/bum started hurting 20 minutes into the drive, due the rather firm seat cushioning. I didn’t mind, but for people who have issues with firm seats, might not be the one. The suspension was good despite running 19″ wheels, but it’s not a particularly engaging drive, sadly. It’s not very precise, nor confidence inspiring in its cornering abilities.
I understand that this isn’t a problem for many people (hence me saying that it’s a lovely motor for many people), but for us it’s not a good choice, sadly.
Also.. screw whoever thought that “always on-lane holding assist” is a good idea, and then decided to hide the option to turn it off deep in the guts of the infotainment system.
