James i have solar panels but i dont have a smart meter yet. Ianfca absolutely, our journey type was always a problem with our other car especially as we have a 1 in 10 hill we must climb for 50% of our journeys. Oscarmax your figures are way more impressive than mine you must be saving a shed load of money. Its strange how much more enjoyable it is driving this car, on our last XC40 the brakes were a problem, they were a bit “lumpy” whereas with this car they are far more smooth. Driving in electric mode is great, no real noise and no gear shift, just smooooooth driving. I use a granny charger and i have no intention in getting a wall charger, even when i go full BEV, until V2G wall chargers are available. Doing the short journeys we do i see no need for a wall charger to be honest.
Brydo once you get used to the PHEV regenerative system I promise you your figure will improve. Brydo as you are aware we tow a caravan, on our first trip towing we only achieved 26 mpg, after a bit more experience 28.5 mpg towing, we now regularly achieve 31.5/32 mpg towing, we only used to achieve 28/29 mpg towing with our previous Motability car Ford Kuga diesel 2.0 powershift.
Once the better weather comes I can see you achieve 140mpg
Unfortunately I have suffered a brain injury and occasionally I get confused and often say the wrong thing.
