Enjoy it while it lasts. My council’s Chargeplace Scotland chargers were all free, now 27p /kw. Not too shabby considering some pricing out there, but its now cheaper to charge at home – just as well I managed to get my charger installed 2 weeks after the fees came in, just 6 months from applying with BP Pulse to installing a unit at our cost.
Still worth getting a card, even as a visitor, as they stopped charging £10 a year to have it and the chargers are all pretty cheap as the councils operate them at cost, so most are very reasonably priced. And, as its a national network its everywhere – sometimes with little to no alternative in the more remote spots.
