Interesting reading from Motability about extension and under normal times it seems they would only grant a two year extensions if your car is fitted with adaptions else wise its one year if under 15,000 miles at three years.

There is nothing about how much you pay in AP so must be at the discretion of Motability. Of course there making exception at the moment.

Some of the wording from MB for one year extension…

If you’ve driven your car fewer than 15,000 miles at the end of your agreement, you might be able to keep it for an extra one or two years.

You can ask us for a lease extension if you’re within the last three months of your current lease and you haven’t already applied for your next car – just go to ‘Current lease’ in your account.

    Wording for two year extension…

If you have certain adaptations fitted to your car, like hoists, swivel seats, rooftop hoists and electronic accelerators, you might be able to extend your lease for up to two years.

You’ll need to talk to us to see if you’re eligible

Wording if your on a short DWP award…

If your allowance is due to end during your next lease and you have less than 12 months remaining when it’s time to apply, you’ll need to extend your lease until you have your new award confirmed.

If this matches your situation, call us on

    PS

just noticed it says under one year and 15,000 keep it for an extra one or two years.?
