For me the interior space is important coupled with an easy to use infotainment system and climate control. The Kona ticked the boxes in all respects. We have ventilated seats in our Tuscon and they are a real boon on a hot day. Like you, we will not have rear passengers, the vast majority of the time, although the rear seat space is similar to our old 1 series and that was fine, as will be the Kona if needed.
