We had decent cover with Vigin Money (they no longer sell travel insurance) for myself and two of my kids, worldwide was about £130.  With Covid we had to cancel as we weren’t going anywhere!.

I’ve been looking around for the last week or so, current pices are now £450 for annual multi-trip ( I have some medical conditions).

I’m hoping to take my Autistic son over to Florida in May to see his only friend and my daughter possibly in late November so I’m still looking

Car hire is worse! usually a standard SUV (Kuga or Rav4) is £300 for the 2 weeks, now it’s coming in at £1100-2000 with the odd “special offer” at £775.  A lot of the “cheaper” options are through decent companies but the cars are being provided by poor suppliers who are off-airport.  Avis and Dollar both quoted around £2000 plus I’d need proper insurance on top.

Please excuse spelling/typos. Apart from being a clot it turns out I had one on my cerebellum that's now causing various problems!
