I guess that with many new car orders at present taking anything up to a year or more from order to delivery, we will see a lot more examples like this. With changes to spec happening almost every model year, it is highly likely that people will receive a newer model year car than the one they ordered. As Rene says, sometimes you will win and other times you will lose.
As I said previously, it boils down to how much you want the car and the feature(s) that are missing. You can reject the car or accept it, hopefully with a sweetener from the dealer as Vinalspin achieved. The only person who would gain by instructing a lawyer would be the lawyer!
