Given the current situation I think Motability is doing a good job. Sure AP’s are higher and choice lower, but as a private buyer, discounts are scarce and waiting times in some cases 12-18 months, with those on fixed term PCP’s denied the option of lease extensions. Motability is keen to have more cars and more options but manufacturers are struggling to produce cars and are prioritising retail customers which yield greater profits. The extra £250 is welcome and has been welcomed by the majority. Sadly as a result of covid and world economics, higher prices are a fact of life.
