Just a quick one for the wife, when should you sign for your mobility car?
You ‘sign’ for the vehicle by entering the PIN (that Motability would have sent you) when you collect the vehicle.
Only enter the PIN when you are happy that the vehicle is ‘as ordered’ – ie the correct model/engine/gearbox/trim/equipment/colour etc and that everything works. Also that any aids/adaptions are fitted and working. Check that there is no damage to the vehicle as well.
Only when you are fully satisfied, enter the PIN on the dealers computer and pay any advance payment due to the dealer.
Sometimes a dealer may say ‘let’s get the paperwork (including PIN entry) sorted and then I will show you the vehicle’ or words to that effect. Insist that you see and fully check the vehicle first.
