One can visit so many countries around the world today and see a mixture of e-scooters, mopeds, standard pushbikes and e-bikes on the roads. Sure there’s a slightly heightened risk when one uses any form of personal transport but i can see no valid reason why an e-scooter should be treated any differently to an e-bike or even a standard pushbike etc. Make protective headgear compulsory for all categories of personal transport like e-bikes & e-scooters plus outlaw their use on pavements and i’ll certainly consider heading down to Halfords to get one to pop into my car boot.
