Car stacker parking like in japan, that is the solution. But the council would rather invest money in gyms and hotels etc, than actually providing service’s to make the people’s live’s easier. Little thought, i think go’s into people’s needs like ourselve’s with limited mobility.
Take all these road closures due to covid measure for eating outside and in london moving parking into the centre of the road for cycle lanes. I feel for you, There no easy solutions..
Expect to pay though as many people have to do to have there own bay or garage in social housing estates or a parking permit, giving priorty to the residents, over other’s.
Might be worth considering moving somewhere else, i get it’s sheltered accommodation, but it seems very stressful indeed and not suitbale for car owners.
Another option is to take a taxi. That way you don’t lose your space, again not ideal but in certain area’s in london, the same happens and then one has to try find a parking space often many streets away.
