I have the Tiguan back now, so had the Arteon just for one thoroughly enjoyable day.

The new shape steering wheel is much nicer than that in the Tiguan and the controls are really touch sensitive, the seats were extremely comfortable and the view out of the front windscreen was excellent, not so with the rear window however, which appeared so tiny in the rear view mirror.

The instruments/ screens were sharp and clear and the lighting was sharp and bright, and there was a load of room in the rear, although the seats seem to be set quite low , probably to offset the low rear roofline?

I didn’t use it, but I took a look inside, and the boot floor looked huge, compared to the Tiguan, but not that high?

I was however extremely disappointed when I discovered that there was no rear reversing camera fitted. Such a shame especially with the length of the car – spoil the ship for a ‘h’apeth of tar’?

Frameless front windows are great and sporty, but if I ever had one, I would have to learn a new technique in getting in & out, because I do tend to use the window frame to help?

Anyway, the Tiguan is fully fit again, looking the business, washed and cleaned courtesy of the dealership , and just run in with less than 25,000 miles recorded, so not in any hurry to change it , Arteon or not?
