I wasn’t eligible for MB last time (bit of a sore point due to the mobility descriptor wording), so the Mk6 is my own car but its 10 years old and on it’s last legs now. Failed MOT last month, cambelt’s due, cold misfire, charging fault, etc. I need something that I can trust in order to start getting out again now. Not sure whether it’ll be MB or whether I get something slightly used on finance to save long waiting times for brand new. Both options open at the moment.
Full EV is not possible for me either due to location. Though a self charging hybrid like the Corolla could be an idea. I’ve owned a DSG auto which I wasn’t keen on but never driven a CVT auto so far. Think I’m better off sticking with manual unless my conditions improve and I can have a proper test drive of a Toyota.
