Probably like you, we don’t choose cars based on running costs ajn. If we did, we’d have an EV. Desirability, quality, fun, equipment and suitability for our needs all rank way higher. If we get all that and it happens to be economical as well then that’s a bonus, but we’d never chose a car primarily because it was cheap to run. Life is too short, but I guess that we are fortunate that we can make that choice. If everyone in the world made cheap running costs their prime motivation when choosing a car then all the luxury car manufacturers would go out of business!
