Yes, the weather’s definitely been a bit sneaky today. Sun, rain, snow, Sun, drizzle, Sun . . . Whatever you choose to wear will be utterly wrong for the time you’re out in it.

I’m certainly not expecting it to handle like a Mini or a TT around the bends, etc. (I don’t even expect that from the Golf), but I’ve driven it across all sorts of road surfaces and the ride was consistently Goldilocks – not so hard it hurt my spine or too soft it wallowed – and all the reviews say it handles really well (for a small SUV) and is fun to drive.
All I need to do now is try and wrangle a deal regarding the colour.
