Wouldn’t that be inconvenient? Would it be a specific visit someplace – or you going there anyway? How long to charge up? What if you needed to dash somewhere at short notice, and you’re low on charge?
You do realise that these arguments mean absolutely nothing, since they can be made for ICE cars too?
What if the tank is empty and you needed to dash somewhere at short notice? An ID3 or Kona have more range fully charged than Brydos petrol XC40 fully fueled, how does he manage?
EVs are absolutely there, it’s just that people are ignorant when it comes to new stuff. Btw, even if we’d look at your argument in a vacuum without mentioning that ICE cars have the same issue – if you need to make a dash somewhere quickly, you drive to a charging point and charge for 10 minutes, which adds around 100 miles. Or you charge 5 minutes for 50. It’s hardly rocket science.
This is ignoring the fact that one of the following statements is wrong:
“I do very few miles, only short distance” and “need to recharge twice a week”.
Even if you do 20 miles every single day, you only need to charge it twice, maybe three times a month.
