    John, as not much is likely to happen for a few days, why not check on a users forum for that car, to see if this issue is mentioned; and more appropriately – resolved. You might then be in a position to propose a viable resolution to the dealer.

    If all components are in the car, and just need activating; the solution sounds simple – but probably isn’t.

    Regarding the mis-selling aspect, I’m not sure it has been; due to the “specification subject to change” caveat.

    • On another aspect, Motability should show some lenience (in my opinion).
    • You ordered a specific car, due to it having a specific feature.
    • However, at the time of hand-over, surely you can’t be expected to try each-and-every feature and facility of the car – it’s natural at the time of over-joyment just to ‘get it and go’.
    • Maybe it could be expected that the dealer should check the car as delivered is exactly to the same specification as the car ordered – but that’s not likely to happen.
