Hmm . . . Up 7:30-ish to prep the turkey. Unwrap pressies. Put the bird in the oven around 8:15, then prep all the veggies, stuffing and such while drinking fizzy wine with orange juice. ‘Phone the family 11.00am – big brother goes to Mum and sister for Christmas Lunch, which is handy. ‘Phone little brother and his family. Take the Turkey out at noon to rest and start the roast tatties, etc.
Dinner 1:00pm. With more fizzy wine and o.j.
Afternoon we make up as we go along. Some kind of board game is usually involved – probably Reign of Cthulhu (because what could be better on Christmas Day than playing a H.P. Lovecraft game about protecting Arkham from a pan-dimensional horror?) Mince pies and alcohol will also be involved at this point. 🙂
Christmas Tea will involve quiche and sausage rolls and ‘things on sticks’.
Telly in the evening, with a glass or two of Baileys . . .
