The Ioniq infinity system is great in my car. I’ve never once been approached by anyone thinking I’m a cab. With previous experience of a bose system I’d say they are great systems but can be a bit bass light and very neutral systems. Honestly if your daughter likes the car than she should go for it, the only reason I’m not is that it’s just a bit low for me but I’m considering staying with Hyundai and going for the Kona
Thanks. My daughter is just 28 and in the end she felt that whilst the Ioniq Premium SE ticked all the boxes kit wise, she felt that it looked too ‘middle aged’ for her. What none of us liked was the split rear screen and lack of a rear wiper. Yes there’s a rear view camera, but that’s not much use when you’re driving forward!
The dealership didn’t have any Ultimate i20’s so we couldn’t check out the Bose system. I pointed out the Kona to her but she didn’t like the look of it. We are in no rush and if she sticks with Hyundai we might wait for the next generation i30 to come out in a couple of years time. Sadly the current top spec i30 does not have an upgraded sound system, which is odd when the i20 does and that’s a deal breaker for her. That and a heated steering wheel ?
As an aside, she said one thing that really surprised me. “One thing I really don’t like Dad is this trend to touch screen controls for heating. It’s so much easier to use a knob”. I thought it was just us old duffers who had that view ?
