@Mike 700. I’m all for different opinions but I just don’t follow your alternative argument one bit. Yes, they derive revenue from the sale of cars, but how are those cars funded in the first place? From the sacrificed benefits and AP’s paid by disabled people! Other forms of income will be minuscule in comparison.
Motability Operations has a pay and remuneration package that is way out of line with most shareholder owned private companies these days, let alone those that have their roots in the charity sector (I appreciate that they aren’t a charity but Motability, which gets the block VAT exemption, is). I’m not advocating that they pay peanuts, but I do not believe that they should be offering a gilt edged package in the way that they do. How many other business are giving their staff a bonus of any size this year, let alone one that runs into thousands of pounds even for junior staff? We are in exceptional times other than, it seems, for those work for Motability Operations.
