    Just an update on our car. Long story, short: VW ID3 ordered on June 13th. Told October delivery. Now told Jan or Feb is 50% chance of happening. Cancelled the order with dealership and motability agreeing. Got my deposit back. I asked Motability what happens to the charger installed by BP because we are not going to use it. Instead, we have ordered a Honda Jazz that we will pick pick up in 2 weeks (already shipped). They said, no charge and for us to just keep it.

    That was 6 weeks ago. Yesterday, we get an email from BP to fill in some what-looks-like government grant forms for the charger or we will be charged full whack! Not sure what to do. could not get through to Motability yesterday or today on the phone.

    It’s been a nightmare so far and it looks like it’s going to continue. We had smart meters put in (which have now stopped working); a 100A mains fuse upgrade and all tails upgraded – at a cost of just under £400 from our own pocket for a charger that we will not be using for the foreseeable future.
